Landscape Photos/Inspiration, San Pasqual Valley

The series of photos I took in San Pasqual valley and CSUSM were mostly inspired by Art Wolf such as, do not put the horizon or object of interest in the center of the photo, adding to the photo to tell a story and look closer to reveal lines and patterns. I also had inspiration from a mixture of Edward Burtynsky and James Balog such as, trying to highlight a specific object to add emphasis, that the use of a landscape can also tell a story and each landscape has a story to tell about itself which I wanted to tell. I learned a vast amount from the three videos we viewed for our class and I tried to apply certain techniques and rules to these photos. This is our first time that we have gone out for class to try landscape photography, that said when I was outside I realized I really enjoyed going out and observing the environment I was shooting in.
